I'd hold off until I see more. Chances are it'll be oblivion with guns and no magic.

Well the loot scaling and meaningless changes (I mainly play PVE) kinda did me in for now. So i broke down and bought an Xbox 360. Now I'll be playing gears of war and the like. I will buy GWEN just to see how it all ties together. I still play GW to see how things are going every once and a while. I started 2 new toons (a Mes and a Necro) but i am to poor to finish them so they will sit and rot. Alot of my friends and guild mates made the jump to WOW for now.

Most of my friends have moved on to RL or WoW.
I'll stick around for GW:EN, but definitely not GW2. I would pick up WoW, but ... I think I'll just drop online gaming entirely for now.^^;

I believe I will be converting to conan even if it has a subscription. Hopefully its much more solo play orientated. I'll read up on it first obviously.
By the time GW2 is released, hopefully I will have found a better MMO then this inconsistent solo-unfriendly BS game.
Ive tried DDO but its too short and the gameplay is too slow. I dont think starting WoW from the start this late is going to be too good either.
IMO Izzy + Gaile need a good sacking for ruining this great game.

Congrats on your commission! Good luck & God speed to you.
As for the topic at hand, I'm still plugging away at GW. I'm not a big fan of the uneven difficulty you find in HM (full party + 6 Minions at 0 DP getting pwned by two paragons after getting through 75% or the map is BS.), but that's my only beef with what A-Net has control over (as a PvEer).
The thing that's getting me down about the game is the anti-social climate that's found way too often in the game. The game has gone from "getting a group together to go have some fun in a mission" to "getting your heros & henchies set up so you can get through this mission as fast as possible."
On top of that, you've got all the trade spam in local chat. which means holding any sort of conversation in most places where people congregate is virtually impossible. So A-Net says they're going to crack down on people who spam WTS/WTB stuff in all chat. What happens? People start whining about that. And all the whining (and I don't mean raising legitimate concerns about things) just adds fuel to the anti-social fire.

I'm waiting to play the game again, so I know I will stick around for a few months with 3 characters, then my friend says he will allow me to try out his account (Has all three Campaigns with three open slots, I wanna try NF.) But otherwise, I would like to try out Unreal 2k4 (I'm behind the times :P), CNC3 or BF2142.

Counterstrike for my PvP action (a real balanced game)
Replaying Morrowind for my PvE action since my PvP and PvE Guild imploded from nerfs past.
I still farm for about an hour a day every other day just to build up some income for GW:EN but if things continue to get nerfed again again and again like armor stacking I'll look for something else like LoTR Online.
ALSO: StarCraft with my Son

I've been playing Oblivion and Tomb Raider a lot lately. and I'm waiting for the release of Crysis and Assassin's Creed and GTA4 and Hellgate:London. I still play guildwars too, but not nearly as much as I did before all the pvp-centric stuff started affecting pve horribly... mostly playing single player games now since hardcore pvp and economy-based cheaters tend to ruin online games...

I'm getting a bit bored with GW lately too. I might play GWEN, might not. It depends on if I get interested again in GW at all until then. I am really looking forward to GW2, but that is quite a ways away. Hero's Journey looks like it could be quite good but it has a really fluid release date. It could entice me to pay a monthly fee if it's really great.
I think I'm gonna head back to consoles for the time being... I'm not going to buy a new system however and I only have PS2 at the moment. So I think I'll replay the Silent Hills and Tomb Raider 1 and those classic kinda games. Maybe FF8... why the hell not. I really liked that one.

Well i still love the GW system, even thou some days i feel that guild wars is quite empty compared to when i first started playing, i guess thats the fact that its hard to find pve groups, you could blame heroes/henchmen but i blame people that want to play solo with out the so called idiots , me personally i like the crazy pve players.
Looking forward to.

Age of Conan. No doubt at all.
Loot scaling ruined PvE.
Assassins and their stupid dazing, snaring, hexing, silencing, critical bullcrap ruined the only forms of PvP i play.

1) Requests from PVE players regarding gameplay have gone completely ignored for long enough.
2) Armor stacking nerf = Bad job on balance. Majority of unused skills/imba skills still in the game = lol.

Not going anywhere. I have lots of goals that I set for myself...some in preparation for GW:EN and the hall of monuments...others just to meet the goals...
I am interested in several other games...but unlike all most all mmo's...this is the one game I'll always be able to play. So if I do leave to play another game more than likely I'll be back to play at some point.
Some future games on my list:
Transformers (looks like an interesting diversion)
TF2
Portal
Huxley
Stargate Worlds
Star Trek Online
Still haven't decided whether or not I'll get GW2...gotta get more info about it to make any kind of decision.

Let's not turn this into a QQing about the changes thread, lord knows we have enough of those already. I really believe they do a pretty good job on balance these days, although I would like to see more sweeping changes like back in days of yore.
Me, I'm leaving for a couple reasons. First of all, pretty much all my ingame friends have left for EVE and WoW. As much as I try, Olias won't go on drunken UW trips with me, even if I'm buying. Secondly, there's just less to do in general. I could do all the titles, but those just feel like grind to me. I guess I'm just losing the joy of innovating new builds to deal with new areas.
